  • And the purpose of insomnia is?

Sleep.  That wonderful state of being at rest while letting the day slip away.  No wonder we humans like it so much.

Which must be why insomnia is so annoying.

I'm up at a ridiculous time of the morning due in part to leg cramps, an extremely weird dream, and and inability of my body to go back to sleep past 3 am.  Ugh.

So, here I am typing away words of wisdom.

Funny, I don't feel all that wise right now.

  • I feel your pain.  However, I have come to embrace the four a.m. wakeup call.  I call it my quiet time; where I can read, think without distraction and spend quality time with my Xanga.  I find these hours precious, since the rest of my day is spent caring for my SO and the house.  So sleeping thru the night is overrated for me....however, I am retired and don't have a job, so it might be hard for you to embrace the pre-dawn hours.

  • @crankycaregiver - Normally, I do embrace those hours.  However, there is only one day of the week when I can sleep without setting an alarm, and this is it.  I suppose I got so aggrivated because it was my only day to sleep....and like small children, I can get whiney at times.  :>)
